15 Days:
Uganda and Rwanda Primate,Gorilla Tracking and Game
viewing tour
Day 1: Airport Transer /Kigali to Ruhengeri
Travewl Hemispheres representavie will pick you from your hotel at your convenient time and mostly
after lunch or on arrival at the airport and drive northwards.
The road takes you through the beautiful terraced undulating
hillsides that represent much of Rwanda’s landscape,
gradually climbing to the base of the awesome volcanoes,
with many peaks visible on clear days. Continue to Ruhengeri
for overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi Hotel.
(Drive takes a minimum of 3 hours)
Day 2: Park Des Volcans - gorilla trackind day
Morning you will be driven to park headquarters after
briefing start off the adventure with trackers. You
will be assigned guides and join other trackers allocated
to the gorilla family you will be tracking. Tracking may take
2- 8 hours depending on the movement of these primates.
Overnight will be at your hotel facility.
Day 3 : Volcanoes National park
Either go gorilla tracking again – (optional top
up of $500) in Parc National des Volcans (on payment
of supplement at the time of booking), or visit the
golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi, visit Ross Carr's
orphanage and Lake Kivu or climb the Visoke/Muhavura
volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey's grave, or visit
the local school, community projects or walk to Lake
Bulera. Overnight at your hotel faiity in Ruhengeri(FB).
Day
4 : Ruhengeri Kisoro to Lake Bunyonyi
In the morning after breakfast drive to Kisoro crossing
the border to Uganda and continue to Kabale the Switzerland
of Africa Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi and Overnight at
Bunyonyi Overland Resort. Relax at the lakeside. Dinner
and overnight (FB).
Day 5 : Lake Bunyonyi - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Morning take boat /canoe ride on lake Bunyonyi viewing
many bird species and European migratory birds can be
viewed here because of the temperate climate in this
area. Visit local groups activities on the Island. After
lunch transfer to Bwindi National Park. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking
Go gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This forest is more dense unlike the rwanda habitat that is much forested finally coming across
the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An awesome
moment! Tracking in Bwindi requires physically fit.
Alternatively you will go for a leisurely nature or community
walk if you are not tracking gorillas. Thereafter transfer to Ishasha the southern tip
of Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for climbing
lions. Dinner and overnight at Ishasa Wildness camp
or Ishasha Bandas – UWA Camp.
Day 7 : Climbing Lions
Carryout game drive looking for climbing lions often
seen in trees basking in the sun. This part of the
park is famous for leopard, hippos in Ishasha river,
elephant buffalo and many bird species. After lunch drive
through the park to the northern part of the park and
check in at Mweya Safari lodge or Istitute hostel (FB).
Day 8 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
Go for an early morning game drive to seek out wildlife,
rest during the heat of the day and then go on an evening
game drive. The game seen will depend on the season,
the Kasenyi plains are good for lion and the Mweya peninsula
for a variety of animals elephant,buffalo, hyena, antelopes etc.In the afternoon take a boat cruise on
the Kazinga Channel where the wildlife and a watch many
bird species along the channel Mweya Overnight at Mweya Safari
Lodge or Jacana safari Lodge or Institute Hostel (FB).
Day
9 : Chimapanzee Tracking Nature walk
Take an excursion to Kyambura gorge nearby to track
the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees, one of man's
closest relations. The chimp population is quite mobile
and viewing is unpredictable but the walk is enchanting.
Alternatively go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest
to see other primates and to visit the bat cave and
the blue lake. Dinner and overnight at lodge facility or Institute Hostel
(FB).
Day 10: Kibale Forest National Park
You will carry out another game drive in the morning
exploring different tracks exploiting all chances of
viewing game that inhabit this beautiful part of the
world.
After lunch depart for Kibale Forest National Park –
home of chimpanzees. Check in at Ndali Lodge or Fort Motel or Toro
Resort for budget
Day 11:Primate watch/chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast with local guide off to track chimps
in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest National Park
is believed to have most concentration of primates in
the world. Over 10 different species of primates including
chimps in this park have been recorded in this park
including the very localized red colobus and L'Hoest's
monkeys. Tracking the chimpanzee our 'cousin' is a very
interesting experience. The way they feed, climb trees,
respond to humans, caring for their young ones, is just
phenomenal.
A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders have record over 300 species including the endemic Prirogrine's ground thrush. Return to your camp and afternoon visit Bigodi Swamp bird watching and other activities that take place here and overnight.
Day
12: Murchison Falls
Depart for Murchison Falls National Park with lunch
stop on the way. Enter through Bugungu gate. Arrive
in the evening to Sambiya River Lodge or Paraa Rest
Camp (Red Chilli) for Dinner and Overnight.
Day
13:Wildlife and game viewing
Morning carry out a game drive in the morning with a local guide
who will assist you sight the Congo Blue Mountains on
clear day. Game drive is carried out in the northern
Bank of River Nile where concentrations of game is common
sight of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions leopards
hyenas and many bird species are common sight. Enjoy
your picnic lunch; in the afternoon go for a boat cruise
on the famous River Nile up to the bottom of falls.
Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though
not a guarantee continue up to the bottom of the falls
where you will see marine animals like the crocodiles,
schools of hippos and many species of birds.Overnight
at Paraaa safari Lodge or Sambiya River Lodge/Red Chilli Rest camp.
Day
14:Top falls - Kampala
Checkout and drive to the top of the falls a spectacular
sight where millions of gallons of water squeeze in
6-meter gap before it explodes into thunderous explosion
of Murchison Falls then proceed to Kampala passing through
Bundongo Forest. Stop to view different species of flora
seeing particular species of trees – mahogany
muvule etc that are characteristic of an African rainy
forest dinner and overnight at Windsor Lake Victoria
Hotel/ Entebbe Rosort Beach/Sophies' Motel for medium and Entebbe Flight Motel for budget.
Day
15:Entebbe Wild Life Education Center Airport transfer
Airport Transfer
If time allows, visit Entebbe Wildlife Eduation center(UWEC) or Botanical gardens before transfer
to the airport for your homebound flight. END OF SAFARI

medium class and low cost budget accommodation
facilities. We will book you in luxury on request. Upmarket, medium and low cost budget
facilities have used depending on your choice and budget. However
in few cases, upmarket facilities may not be available
and medium facilities have been used where medium facilities
are not available we have used low cost.
