THR 4 Days:Gorilla Safari tracking twice in Park Des Volcanoes
Gorilla Trekking
Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Parc National des Volcanoes is one of the most memorable experiences of a life time. There are seven habituated families for tourism and all are visited by tourists. Parc National des Volcanoes give a spectacular view of Mount Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura.
Day 1: Airport Transfer
Morning will drive from Kampala and Transfer to Ruhengeri where yolu will start tracking gorillas.
Pass through magnificent views of the hilly countryside which give Rwanda its stature as “a country of a thousand hills” Check in at the Mountain Gorillas Nest hotel dinner and overnight or stay at budget facility Kinigi Guest House. (B, L, D)
Day 2: 1st Day of Gorilla trekking in Park National des Volcanoes
Early morning drive to park headquarters pre-Mountain Gorilla visit briefing for all guests. After the gorilla trek there will an opportunity to explore other community-based tourism attractions. Depending on the time you will be back from the forest can visit Ruhengeri Market, providing you with an opportunity to see and buy local Rwandan fabrics and to see how local markets are organized. Or visit local projects, to see how your travel with us contributes to making a difference in local people lives and interact with project members. Or attend traditional dance lessons, to see and have a taste of local culture and how it is embedded in the tradition. Or Visit the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo and marvel at the views of the Virunga mountain chain. Overnight at the Mountain Gorillas Nest or Kinigi Guest House for Budget or Hotel Muhabura in Ruhengeri. (B, L, D)
Day 3: 2nd Day of gorilla trekking and Explore the Mountain Gorilla habitat
Clients will trek gorillas second time in the park to explore more of the Mountain Gorilla habitat. This can be done by having another gorilla trek permit/s at the time of the booking. The second time gives chance to visist another family and habitat to be sure of the life style of the forest giants. OR will carryout golden monkey trek, mountain hiking, nature walks to crater lakes on top of the volcano, bird safaris, and/or visiting the Dian Fossey tomb at Karisoke Research station which Diana Fossey started and hence the survival of gorillas today will be arranged where you can listen to a presentation by the researchers on the ongoing Mountain Gorilla Conservation work.
Overnight at Mountain Gorillas Nest Hotel or Kinigi Guest House or Hotel Muhabura in Ruhengeri. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Transfer to Kigali or Kampala
Clients have choice to end trip at Kampala or Kigali. Clients ending safari at Kigali will have an opportunity to have city tour of Kigali before dropping at the airport. Clients returning to Kampala will be driven direct back to Kampala.
Kigali City the main administrative and economic centre of Rwanda. With an ever green feel of fresh air, it is the cleanest and safest city in the region. Kigali’s face is dramatic beautiful from which its name is derived. There are, however, other factors; Kigali is a city that delights the mind as well as the eye of any visitor. It is the city where the past lives comfortably with the present. You will have the opportunity to see the following : Visit an artisan shopping centre for local arts and crafts shopping. Visit the Kigali Museum and learn the history of Kigali’s and Rwanda’s pre-colonial and colonial period as well as the colonial masters in Rwanda. Visit the city and see first hand the post genocide development and expansion of Kigali. Visit the 1994 Kigali Genocide Memorial site.
The Safari cost Includes:

nature walks and Park fees, 1 gorilla permit and the second permit is optional and cost USD 500 per permit to be paid at the time of booking if you will be trackingh twice

Accommodation available can be grouped as upmarket, medium class and low cost budget accommodation facilities. We can book you in luxury at your request but Upmarket, medium and low cost budget facilities depending on your choice and budget have been used. However in few cases, upmarket facilities may not be available and medium facilities have been used where medium facilities are not available we have used low cost as the only alternative.
