THU-7DAYS: The Apes Circuit Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari
Day 1:Kampala to Bwindi Gorilla Forest National Park
Meet and greet at your hotel in Kampala after drive to Bwindi, with lunch stop on the way, diner and overnight at Gorilla Foreast camp /Gorilla Resort Lodge/Kitandara Buhoma Camp / Community Bandas or Kisoro Travelers Rest Hotel.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest
Day for gorilla tracking. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 3: Climbing Lions in Ishasha Queen Elizabeth Park
Morning will drive to Ishasha the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Game drive looking for the sighting of climbing lions basking in Fig trees. Later drive to Mweya Peninsular and check in at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute Hostel.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and viewing other primates
Morning visit Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Afternoon take Boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Overnight.
Day 5: Other wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Park
Early morning game drive. Check out to drive to Fort Porta/Kibale National park and check in at Fort Motel / Ndali Lodge /Toro Resort dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking and other Apes
After breakfast track chimpanzee in Kibale Forest. Afternoon visit Bigodi swamp and Eco site sanctuary viewing for more apes and birds. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Kibale Forest to Kampala
Drive to Kampala or Entebbe via Mubende. End of safari.
The Safari cost Includes:
1 Gorilla permit per person
2 chimpanzee permits per person
6 nights accommodation and meals at full board
Park fees, game drives launch cruise,
4x 4 WD vehicle with fuel and driver/guide
Gorilla tracking and other notes on this tour:
Safari can be booked privately for daily departures
Gorilla tracking takes place at either Buhoma (north) or the Kisoro side (south) accessing the New group of Nkuringo
Itinerary can be run in reverse depending on the gorilla permits availability dates
