Murchison Falls & Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari 5 Days

Day 1.

Kampala – Rhinos – Murchison Falls National Park.

Your driver/guide will pick you from Hotel in Kampala or your residence at 6.30am from where you will start the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Will first visit the Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. View rhinos and after proceed to Masindi with lunch en route in Masindi town..

 

After lunch proceed to Murchison falls. Visit the top of the falls an exciting point where millions of gallons of water squeeze in 6-7 meter gap with thunderous sound before falling down 40 meters forming placid river. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge luxury facility , sambiya up market , Murchison falls river lodge middle and Red chili budget .

Day 2.

Murchison Falls National Park.

Morning after an early breakfast drive in the northern bank of River Nile start the day with an early morning game drive. You will most likely be able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, antelope, lion, elephant, hyena, buffalo and the Uganda Kob..

After lunch you will take on a 3 hour launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the Bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, fish eagles and sometimes the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight .

Day 3:

Murchison Falls – Queen Elizabeth  National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enroute you will see the spectacular view of the Rwenzori Mountains. They lie along the western boarder of Uganda and rise to a height of 5,100 meters. On clear day you can view Ice caps on the peaks of Stanley and Magherita, and their incomparable, beautiful, mist-shrouded peaks provide a unique backdrop to one of our most magnificent national park- Queen Elizabeth. Arrive in the evening dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge luxury facility , Katara lodge for up market , simba safari lodge for middle and Kazinga view resort for budget .

 

Day 4

Queen Elizabeth National Park

This park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. It borders Lake George and Lake Edward as well as Kazinga Channel in the western area of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

The day begins with an early game drive looking for wildlife. There are variety of game; lion, buffalo, elephant, Uganda kob, bushbuck and the rare leopard. About 600 bird species have been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird-watchers. They include the black bee-eater, 11 different species of kingfisher and several falcons, eagles and other raptors. Take a 2-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. This waterway joins Lakes Edward and George and it is filled with schools of hippos, buffaloes with elephants at the banks. Retire to the lodge for over night .

 

Day 5

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast you will be driven to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee tracking while on a nature walk. After Kyambura gorge for a primate walk where your will see chimps and other primates e.g Columbus & velvet monkeys and baboons walk out of the gorge to proceed to Kampala. End of safari.

 

Please Note the safari cost will include:

 

  • Meals and accommodation at full board for the agreed dates
  • Game drives, park fees,
  • Tracking chimpanzee safari driver /guide and 4×4 vehicle
  • Park fees
  • Applicable government taxes
  • Drinking bottled water while driving on safari

Excluded are:
