ECONOMIC GROWTH RUINING OUT NATURE WORLD WIDE.

Uganda is one of the country whose economic growth rate has been increasing t the expense of the environment. Increased economic growth does not match with sustainable use of natural resources.

Uganda’s economic growth rate estimated to 5% and 10% in the last 10 years. With out better environmental stewardship ,sustainable  development  is likely to be undermined. There is need for more integration of environmental issues into all aspects and levels of development .Poor people must be able to participate in this growth ,both by participating in zoo ,aquaria and other protected areas service delivery and the promotion of tourism through employment. The deliberation of conferences contributes to the achievement of the various Millennium Development Goals in the African region and to seek viable solutions to the enormous environmental  problems such as food securityandpoverty. Humans are eating a way at our own life support systems’ at a rate unseen in the past 10,000 years  by degrading land and fresh water systems, emitting green house of  gases and releasing vast amounts of agricultural chemicals into the environment ,new research has found.

Of nine worldwide processes that underpin life on Earth ,four have exceeded “safe levels human-driven climate  change, loss of biosphere integrity ,land system  change and the high level of phosphorus and nitrogen flowing into the oceans due to fertilizer use. The core components of  planet suitable for human life using the long term average state of each measure to provide baseline for the analysis .The changes of the last 60 years are unprecedented in the previous 10000 years ,a period in which the world has a relatively stable climate and human civilization has advanced significantly. Carbon dioxide levels , at 395.5 parts per million ,are at historic highs, while loss of biosphere integrity is resulting in species becoming extinct at a rate more than 100 times faster than the previous norm. In the whole world Africa still remain intact with most of the natural resources  forests, national parks, lakes remain fresh to prosper tourism industry. African safaris are take to be far rich  in nature and environment. In Uganda  Uganda safaris has best gorillas safaris and birding tours on African continent.

Since 1950 urban population have increased seven- fold ,primary energy use has soared by a factor of five , while the amount of fertilizer  used is now eight times higher .The amount of nitrogen entering the oceans has quadrupled. All of these changes are shifting Earth into a” new state “ that is becoming less hospitable to human life.

When economic systems went into over drive, a massive increase in resource use and pollution. It is confined to local and this occurring on global scale .These changes are down to human activity ,not natural variability. Land is cleared, degraded ,introduction of feral animals and take the top predators out, the marine ecosystem is changed by overfishing .That direct impact upon the land is the most important  factor even more than climate change.

If the earth is to move to a warmer state 5-6c warmer. With noice caps. It will do so and that won’t be good  for large mammals.

The environment degradation increases globally .Land users appear unaware of the environmentally sustainable methods and practices ,thereby resulting in the deforestation of the soil ,vegetation, resources and wildlife  which is the one of the  Uganda’s  leading foreign exchange earner .
